Design
Sober, modern, soft and fluid lines, clean, pure and compact helicopter.
Its design allows immediate easy access to the helicopter mechanics.
Functional design: optimized doors for easy access, ample instrumentation, maximum visibility from the interior, minimum frontal area and aerodynamic profile.
Entirely made of carbon fiber, the cockpit is a lightweight semi-monocoque in the shape of a cage capable of absorbing deformation energy for the protection of its crew, complemented by a fuselage made of aeronautical quality Chrome Molybdenum Steel SAE 4130 and welded in a reticulated form.
Designed for comfort and ergonomics of its crew. Upholstered in genuine bovine leather and available in various colors. Under the seat includes a convenient compartment for personal items.
Center Cyclic
Unique design with extensions on both sides for easy access, self-adjusting and removable height. Allows easy pilot entrance and egress.
Pedals adjustable to the height of the pilot and the co-pilot/instructor.
Overhead Panel
Located in the upper center of the cabin for a comfortable and simple start-up.
Large and configurable dashboard for mini Ipad, Garmin Aera 600 series or 760 (not included)
The Cicaré 8 has two possible engines
Rotax 915 IS is a new version
Based on the concept of the successful Rotax 9 series of which the well-known 912 and 914 are part of the family, the Rotax 915 IS offers more power. The best power-to-weight ratio in its class.
It consumes 30% less than certified helicopters with the same characteristics.
The Rotax 915 IS equipped version features its specific EMU developed to Cicaré requirements by RS flight system in Germany.
Based on the ROTAX 914 engine, with performance and performance improvements, the EPA POWER 917 Ti incorporates an evolved electronic injection system and an aerodynamically developed intake system to optimize performance, to which carbon fiber components have been incorporated, optimizing weight. This version of Cicaré 8 will be the one certified for commercial use in Germany and will also be extended to countries in Europe, South America, Oceania and Latin America.
The Epa Power 917 version features the C125 display which has striking design and powerful functionality, with display, data logging, auxiliary control and programmable LEDs all in one compact device.
The governor designed for all Cicaré helicopters is an auxiliary system that provides ease and comfort of flight, facilitating the pilot’s work. However, its unique clutch system allows the rider to have control of the power at any time they request it, without the need to disengage the system. In autorotation maneuvers, below 80% RPM, the governor waits for the pilot to manually return to operating range. Autorotation practices are realistic, fast and easy.
The engines used consume 35% less fuel than traditional aviation engines with similar performance. Resulting in a noticeable reduction in the carbon footprint of the aircraft.
This gear set provides excellent results when it comes to asking the engine for power, beginning with the centrifugal clutch system that ensures a smooth and gradual coupling between the engine and the transmission box (CTP). To the CTP the power is transmitted through a system of belts and pulleys. Then the power is distributed to the main and tail rotor, through a flex plate-cardan-box system.
Decades of development, thousands of flight hours, strict control of raw materials, production processes and quality controls translate into unmatched performance, maneuverability and flight comfort. The inertia, mass distribution and high lift ratio provide safety and energy to the rotor in autorotation maneuvers.
